Zuschauerkommentare zum Film - macht mit!

I was seven years old when they shoot the movie. Pretty much Guadalajara keeps the same image until 1970. I walked those streets, play at the Parque Alcalde, go to college at Universidad de Guadalajara.

Thanks for this website is really great and means a lot for me.

Gracias.

Just looking at the pictures from the film, "GUADALAJARA EN VERANO" ...made this whimsical "Old Lady" happy. WOW !

I have not seen us at this time for over 40 years ... and those photos mean a lot to me...

I can't seem to stop crying tears as I write this e-mail. I didn't realize that this film meant so much to me. So many touching memories! Boy! We were young, and just married for 5 months. We both were celebrated as stars in Mexico and were enjoying the musical Mexican people so much.

Oh, but one of the sad and tragic moment for us was when I lost the beginning of a son "Patrick Dean" ... I was 5 months along. Hmm... When I get the film I will be able to see myself carrying, especially the scene in a orange smock getting off the train with a teddy bear... the teddy bear was blue, I think, and it was given to me by a fan for "Patrick"... Sorry I didn't mean to go on...

You know what seems to be important as we walk this life's path is the people that travels beside you ... It really doesn't matter for how long, but the quality of time that is spent together. You see, it doesn't take much for one person to take a part of your heart... does it now?

Guess a lot of YOU KNOW THIS!

When I get this film... it will transform my dark apartment into a fantastic ... popcorn starry night, emitting all the shades of two young people in love... whose hearts and souls were joined by laughter, and tears.

As I promised here is Dean Reed's photo from "Guadalajara en verano". I found Dean Reed a very interesting man. I think he was a great man who fought for peace. I have never pay attention on him. My site is about the director of "Guadalajara en verano", Julio Bracho, but I didn't know Dean was such a great man; I tought him an unknown American actor who had come to Mexico to do this film, but now that I visit your website I have learned something about him. Very interesting.

In "Guadalajara en verano", Dean Reed is Roberto Douglas, an American student, who visits Guadalajara and falls in love with a Mexican girl named Lourdes (Alicia Bonet).
