Dean Reed Actuó Para Mineros

Ello pese a la prohibicion de que fue notificado por el departamento de Extranjeria de la policia civil.

A pesar de haber sido informado oficialmente de su impedimento para actuar durante su estadia en nuestro pais, dada su calidad de turista, el cantante Dean Reed canto en un show organizado por el Sindicato Industrial Sewell y Mina de El Teniente.

Personal de Extranjeria de la policia civil recordo a Reed que habiendo ingresado al pais como turista, no podia cantar en publico, aun cuando la posible actuacion no le reportara beneficios pecunarios.

Por su parte, la Gobernacion de Cachapoal, segun declararon los dirigentes de los sindicatos Industrial Caletones e Industrial Sewell y Mina sobre el particular.

Pese a las advertencias sobre las consequencias que podria acarrear en el futuro a este visitante extranjero su actuacion en show, montado ademas con la participacion de la poetisa Maria Maluenda, este se realizo segun lo previsto.

Dean Reed, que presencio la primera parte desde la platea del teatro de la sede del sindicato industrial Sewell y Mina, firmo autografos luego de lo cual recibio de manos del dirigente Juan Meneses un presente recordatorio.

Luego de saludar a los asistentes, que ingresaron al recinto portando como entrada, un kilo de alimentos para la olla comun, inicio una larga serie de canciones.

Un grupo de dirigentes sindicales declaro publicamente su rechazo a la actuacion de Reed, recordando que este cantante habia tenido activa participacion durante el gobierno de la Unidad Popular en Chile y habia protagonizado frente al Consulado de Estados Unidos en Santiago, el lavado de la bandera de su propia patria.

In spite of being informed officially about his impediment to act during his stay in our country due to his tourist visa, the singer Dean Reed sang in a show organized by the Industrial Union Sewell & Mina from El Teniente.

The foreign affairs personnel and the civil police reminded him that being in the country as a tourist, he couldn't sing in public, even if his possible actuation was for free.

On the other hand the Government of Cachapoal according to the declarations of the union directors notify to the directors of the Industrial Caletones and Industrial Sewell & Mina about this matter.

In spite of the warnings about the consequences that could bring in the future to this foreign visitor, his performance in the show mounted with the participation of the poetess Maria Maluenda, run according to the plans.

Dean Reed who was watching the first part of the show from the sitting of the Industrial Sewell & Mina theater, signed autographs and after this, he received a souvenir given to him by the director Juan Meneses.

After greeting to the public who got into the premises carrying a kilogram of food to feed them, he started a long series of songs.

A group of unions directors declared their rejection to Reed's performance reminding that this singer had had an active participation during the Unidad Popular Government in Chile and he, in front of the United States Consulate in Santiago had washed the flag of his own motherland.

Obwohl er offiziell davon in Kenntnis gesetzt wurde, dass ihm während seines Aufenthaltes in unserem Land jegliche Auftritte verboten sind, weil er als Tourist eingereist ist, sang der Sänger Dean Reed in einer Show, die von der Industriegewerkschaft Sewell y Mina von El Teniente organisiert worden war.

Mitarbeiter der Ausländerbehörde der Zivilpolizei machten einen Mitschnitt des Auftritts von Reed, der als Tourist ins Land gekommen war und deshalb nicht in der Öffentlichkeit singen darf, selbst wenn er mit einem eventuellen Auftritt kein Geld verdient.

Soweit äußerte sich die Regierung von Cachapoal, wie die Führer der Industriegewerkschaften Caletones und Sewell y Mina zu der Angelegenheit erklärten.

Obwohl dieser ausländische Besucher auf die Folgen, die ein Auftritt in der Show für ihn in Zukunft haben wird, hingewiesen worden war, fand der Auftritt wie vorgesehen statt, sogar noch unter der Beteiligung der Schauspielerin Maria Maluenda.

Dean Reed, der den ersten Teil seines Auftritts vom Parkett des Theaters am Sitz der Industriegewerkschaft Sewell y Mina aus bestritt, schrieb Autogramme und nahm dann aus den Händen des Führers Juan Meneses ein Erinnerungsgeschenk entgegen.

Nachdem er die Anwesenden, die als Eintritt ein Kilo Lebensmittel für die Suppenküche mitgebracht hatten, begrüßt hatte, sang er eine lange Reihe von Liedern.

Eine Gruppe von Gewerkschaftsführern erklärte öffentlich ihre Ablehnung des Auftritts von Reed und erinnerte daran, dass dieser Sänger während der Regierungszeit der Unidad Popular in Chile eine aktive Rolle gespielt hatte und vor dem Konsulat der USA in Santiago die Fahne seines eigenen Vaterlandes gewaschen hatte.
