Yep. Dean Reed does appear on Bachelor Father, and yes Niece Kelly tries out for being a majorette. I just watched this episode yesterday, 01/31/12 on Antenna TV. Great show. Noreen Corcoran who plays Niece Kelly is my mom's age now (she was born in 1943). It's weird to see how people were before I came into this world. Their worries are pale in comparison to the early 21st century - even in Beverly Hills.

I've been trying to find a recording of that song on the Internet also, with no luck. As I remember the first line it was
"Oh I went to a football game I never will forget -
with the pretty little, pretty little, pretty little, pretty little, pretty little majorette."
But I may be mistaken since it's been 50 years since I originally heard it.

Well, after listening to the song for the first time in about 50 years, I find I didn't know the lyrics as well as I thought. I remember that Dean Reed sang the song over and over and over as various girls would try out. Fun song.

Am I remembering correctly ? Wasn't Dean Reed the celebrity on the episode of Bachelor Father where Kelly tries out for majorette? I don't know why I'm thinking of this today, but if a recording of this song is still available, I'd like to hear it. Nothing professional, I'd just like to hear the song again.
